About Founder

Lumi Design is a state-of-the-art AV firm serving the Hamptons and located in Montauk, NY. They are Lutron dealers whose expertise is the seamless integration of high-functioning lighting control and shades, interior and landscape-lighting modules, sound systems, home-theatre, networking, and more. Known for their professionalism, keen design aesthetic, and eye for detail, clients rave about their extraordinary level of responsiveness.
Mike Lumi, Founder is an AV and lighting expert, artist, and surfer. Mike has 25+ years of experience in the luxury AV Industry. Serving the upscale Hamptons residential and commercial markets. Mike began his professional career as a Fine Art printer, printing the works of master artists, Tom Wesselmann, Damien Hirst, and Keith Haring. His natural eye for color and light, led him to a career in the AV field, creating illuminating home environments in NYC. The ocean called him in search of waves to Montauk in the early 1990’s. He fell in love and made the Hamptons his home, founding his company and bringing his AV expertise to the east end.

Lumi Design is a state-of-the-art A/V firm located in Montauk, NY. Michael Lumi, passionate surfer and founder, will customize the pitch-perfect scenario for your business or home. A background in the arts, as well as more than 20 years of experience in the East End and in NYC, have cultivated in Mike a keen design aesthetic and an eye for detail. A Lutron expert, he is well known for the seamless integration of high-functioning lighting control and shades, interior- and landscape-lighting modules, sound systems, home-theatre networking and more. Mike lives in Montauk, where he understands the Hamptons culture, not to mention local lifestyle, with his family. Known as a down-to-earth, easy-going guy both in and out of the water, his clients rave about his extraordinary level of responsiveness.
